Cash Sales that need fulfillment

in Accounting / ERP

What happens after you create a cash sale transaction?  Does it get pushed into a queue waiting for fulfillment like sales orders or directly effects inventory?  I see that the cash sale has increased the committed quantity for the item but how would I make it so that it effects the available on hand quantity?  After it is deposited?
