Sorting Issue!! Anyone?

We cannot get a sort in the AR Apply Customer Payments to work.  If you try to sort by Invoice number it is all over the place.  Forward or backward neither one works properly. 

We have alpha numeric invoice numbers and what a nightmare to try to apply customer payments.

Anyone else having this issue?
