How to create a single use cupon
We are trying to figure out a way to give a customer a single use coupon. Either a % off or a fixed amount.
Say we have messed up an order and we need to do a little damage control. I would be nice to have a list of 1 time coupon/discount/gift certificate/promo codes. It would like to pre print these and drop them in the mail/email or drop them into a shipment when we know we've back ordered something we should not have.
Our previous web store software would let us create these on the fly. Granted it didn't create the proper liability for accounting sake but it really worked well to help us retain customers.
