A/R Transaction Search HELP!!!

I need everyone's help in solving a problem that we are having and no one has been able to come up with a working solution as of yet. 

We currently have A/R transaction searches set up to identify those customers who have open balances past/between set periods of time (i.e. relative to today 23-30 days ago, 37-44, etc).  We then use these searches to do merges and blasts using various campaigns we have set up.

The transaction currently has the following criteria set up:
Date Created: is before today
Transaction: Type: is Item Fulfillment
Transaction: Date Created: is within 30 days ago to 23 days ago
