Access Error for Amortization schedules

Our staff accounts have access to amortization templates and schedules, but at unable to select them on bills and journals.  When they try to save the record they get a permission error for Rev. Rec.; which we do not have.  When I called support they logged an issue and said only admins have access to Amort. Sched. and they a fix was in being worked on.  Has anyone else run into this problem and found a successful workaround? If not anyone from NetSuite know when this fix is going to be released?
