when item recognized as income
I have advanced shipping/receiving turned on. On a drop ship item, I want the income and expense to hit my revenue and cogs at fulfillment.
When I fulfill, the GL Impact says the right thing, but the transaction is not impacting the Income Statement. It isn't showing on the income statement until I actually generate the invoice. Also, the PO isn't hitting the COGS until I hit Bill.
I verify this by looking at the financial statement and the transaction is not on it until after billing.... which is not GAAP... Revenue is at fulfillment, not invoice. and the PO should have the same date for COGS and the matching principle.
