Customer Profitability Reports and Postponing Journal Entries
How do you get the Customer Profitability Summary and Detail Reports to include journal entries that postpone cost or revenue to another date.
For example in 2006, we spent $13,000 on a project that we completed in January 2007 so I postponed recognition of that $13,000 to January 2007. I would like my "Customer Profitability" Reports to show zero for profit/loss in 2006, but the report does not "understand" that the journal entry postpones the cost. How do I make it do that?
