Transactions as PDF Attachment

How do I set up all transactions sent by email to be PDF Attachment by default instead of embedded. I see how to send invoices, etc., as attachments on the MESSAGES tab, but if we use the EMAIL button (BIG YELLOW ONE) is there a way to have it to default to an attachment?
