refunding credit card payment

dear group,

i've not had this situation before, so i could use some help/direction.

had a client who paid online(just saw it in the '1 payment to deposit column first page')but whose wife paid the same bill with a check that of course was deposited last night.

how do i go about undoing the credit card payment if indeed that can be done simply?
