Drilldown description

Frequently I will click on an account from the balance sheet or income statement to check out the detail that makes up the total appearing on the financial statements.  It would be really handy if I could see the description in addition to the vendor/customer or journal entry number. 

Does anyone know how to do this without customizing the detail report every time?
