Deleting memorized transactions with associations

We have a user who wants to delete a memorized transaction.  When she deletes it, she gets the error message :

This memorized transaction cannot be deleted because it referenced in transactions.

There is one invoice transaction associated to this memorized transaction, so the message is not in error.  The user claimed that prior to this occasion, she has always been able to delete memorized transactions irregardless of any associated transactions.  Is she right?  Has a change been made to the rules for deleting memorized transactions?  Or is she mistaken and NetSuite has never allowed a memorized transaction with associated transactions to be deleted?
