Case #609708 enter cash sales item w/0 on hand

Someone please help me with this:
I was just on with customer support for over 20 minutes trying to explain/show that I can process a cash sale for an item that has no available inventory.

I really just wanted to know if this was an issue or an enhancement.
If it's an enhancement - fine. we'll deal, I just want a answer please.


Unfortunately, the rep. didn't even understand the meaning of what a cash sale is. I was told "well you know there isn't a bill button on your screen, so you wouldn't be able to finish the transaction anyhow" -- this was after I demonstrated a 'sample' cash sale which did complete, resulting in a -1 on hand for the product.
