Combine Locations and/or demoting them to Sub-Locations

I currently have 3 locations.  but i would like to take 2 of these locations and combine them into 1 location.  Then i would like to take the 2nd location and demote it to a sublocation.

I have 7000 items so I am wondering if there is a mass update or is it just a matter of making the one a sub of the other?????
