Concern about purchase orders

I would like for my warehouse managers to be able to input purchase orders when they order material.  But I would prefer they did not see our cost (rate).  Is there a way to input a purchase order and not see a price?  I tried to edit the form but it would only let me take out "rate", it would not allow "amount" to be removed.  Any way around this?
