Showing Customer Deposits

Is there any way to show a Customer's Deposit amount on the Customer screen and/or the Invoice screen? I have many customers who have deposits on file, and sometimes I mistakenly send them an invoice with an amount due, rather than collecting the amount from the deposit and sending a paid invoice. Continually looking in the Customer Deposits account is getting tiring.
