Repeat Customer Search

It is easy to create a customer list for customers who purchased within one period (say Nov '07). But I cannot seem to create a report for customers who purchased in multiple periods (say Nov'06 AND Nov'07).  This would be a great way to find repeat seasonal customers. 

I would also like to be able to create a customer search which would exclude customers who purchased in more than two periods (based on the above example, the search would be expanded to exclude those customers who also purchased in Jun'07).

Any suggestions?
