Best Practice to replace a serialized member in a serialized inventory item
We create a sell serialized assemblies. The assemblies we sell have a serialized assembly member. Two serial numbers;

[*]Serialized member inside product[/LIST]Occasionally we have a product that is sent in for service and we need to replace the serialized member component inside. We've been doing this different ways but recently I was thinking of the "correct" way to handle this and here is what I came up with:

[*]Customer sends in (possibly) defective product
[*]If the serialized member item needs to be replaced we:[LIST]
[*]Create a RMA for the product (internally, the customer doesn't know about it)
