Workaround needed for showing invoice line items on customer statements

I just switched to NetSuite from QB and my customers are accustomed to seeing their invoice line items appear on a statement so that they don't have to go look at all their invoices to see what each months' bill contained.    However, NS statements only show the invoice number and amount.  

Has anyone figured out how to generate a statement that has the invoice items shown, for example with a custom report?  This will tide me over for a while, but it breaks the standard model where you put the statement in a window envelope and send it   This needs fixing.
