Time Worked vs Billable Time
We typically charge our customers a minimum of 1hr for a service call. However, many jobs are done in less than an full hour. Is there a way to bill 1hr to our customer even though the technician only worked 30mins? We are trying to keep our billable time our customer and still have correct payroll records. Using time tracking for payroll our techs are currently accumulating the same amount of hours they are billing customers for.
The only workaround I can come up with is to have two time entries - both billable to the customer, but with separate payroll items one payable and one not, in order to keep payroll straight. This seems pretty cumbersome though.
