Markup above 100%?? Pricing Engine?

edited Mar 17, 2008 2:09AM in Accounting / ERP 5 comments

Hi,

New to the forums here. I'm trying to develop a pricing engine that fits the way my business operates, but after trying a recommended solution from Netsuite after way too much time on the phone, I found out it doesn't work.

This is what I'm trying to do. Let's say I sell books. I order these books from all around the world, different suppliers, and so on. As such, my books fall into 3 different categories of price-markups. So books in category A, I take the base price (purchase price), and then add a markup of 300%; for B, it's 200% and for C it's 150%. (the numbers aren't important) Basically, I want NetSuite to take my base price, and multiply it by the appropriate/assigned markup to get the sales price. Furthermore, I want to be able to change those markups

Howdy, Stranger!
