Trial Balance vs. AR Aging

Have noticed a problem in our system revolving around Trial balance and AR Aging Report.
Upon reviewing the Trial Balance -"Accounts Receivable", number $A is shown.
Upon reviewing the report AR Aging for the same period, number $B is shown.
These are not the same???
As an aside the Trial Balance and General Ledger do match.
By the way we do not use 'accounting periods'.

Any ideas?
