ID for Matrix items

in Accounting / ERP

We are trying to update our shop page on our web site and need to identify the item id for the "add to cart" button.  We have matrix items this time where in the past we've used standard items.  We are unable to find the id number for the matrix item.  Does anyone know if there is a special way to handle matrix items?
