Changing the quantity pricing schedule on an item

I have created several pricing schedules.
I have created approximately 1000 items and attached a pricing schedule to each item.

Now the sales department has decided to assign different pricing schedules to some of the items.

Unfortunately, NS does not seem to allow this.

I select an item record - edit - go to pricing tab - change the pricing schedule...
and the screen freezes. I cannot press "save", i cannot go to another tab, until I press RESET, setting the pricing schedule back to the old one.

Does anyone out there have a clue???
