merchant fee

I need help on how to enter a negative amount in the CC payment.
We charge a customer's credit card for $1000 but the bank only credited our bank account $985. I found out that the diff is the merchant fee. How do I record a negative amt to offset the customer payment so that it will equal to the money rec'd in the bank?
