Matching transactions creates journal entry instead of check
I am importing bank account OFX transactions for the first time. My question is.. why does recording a new charge via this process create a journal entry instead of a check? While the end result appears the same for either, I am simply trying to understand best practices. We have used journal entries sparingly in the past, and this will create significant volumes of them. Am I doing this the correct way?
Online Banking Statement / Find Charge / New Charge (manually enter payee & account) / Save
We previously used Quickbooks, which was significantly easier. The transactions download and you simply click "record new". Would be nice to see NS make this process more automated and efficient.
