Changing Tax Reporting Periods After Date

in Accounting / ERP

I know you can change the tax reporting periods but i need to make sure that i wont screw up our system by doing so. When we started using NetSuite we setup the tax reporting periods incorrectly and now our reports are inaccurate because of this. If i change the dates in these periods will the system still run and only change the results in reports? Thanks.
