Reporting by Class not working

We have a simple set up with every item set to a class like jewelry, handbags, etc.

Last year we were able to run a income statement by class and it would show how much jewelry we sold, etc.  This year it does not work and i am being told it is by design.  Does anyone else have this problem or a solution?
