Invoices

We are currently going from Sales Order to Cash Sale, we want to move to Sales Order to Invoice but still need to see what has been ordered and what has been paid for.

QUESTION currently we can generate reports by Sales AND Sales Orders to see the difference between what has been ordered vs. what has been paid for, if we move to Invoicing will we still see what sales have been paid for under Reports>Sales (in other words is Sales considered either a Cash Sale or Invoice?)

Does this make since?
