Lock item descriptions on Estimates?

Hello,

I searched and could not find a thread on this. It seems like it should be simple.

I am trying to lock the Description column on Estimates. For example, when my sales reps create estimates for clients, the sales rep should not be able to overwrite the default language describing the Item.

It seems like this should be simple to do. I am in the Custom Transaction Forms area and looking at the options under Screen Fields -> Columns, but all I can do is show/hide Description.
