Showing the memo field on main line of a journal

When paying suppliers, I sometimes have journals that I have manually created which get used as credits in my payment vouchers.

Currently, when i print the payment voucher the voucher shows the memo field on the main line bill so i can describe what the bill is and the supplier knows what I've paid them for.

I would like to do the same thing on the journals that I use as bill credits.  I have tried to customise the journal to show the memo field but it's not available.

Does anyone know how to do this?
