How can I book a Receiving Reseller Commitment Fee

Hi,

We have resellers that pay up front a commitment fee. Over 1 year, each time they sell the product we want to deduct from the up front payment.

2 Question:
* What is the best type of record hold to use (customer, partner,...)?
* How to a recognize the up front commitment fee so it can be used to cover the sell of products over time?
