Customer Payments Saved Search

I want to create a simple saved search report that shows me payments recorded from customers on  a daily basis by locations (we use multiple locations).
But how can I do that without reflecting debit and credit transactions. Everything I try to do pulls both sides of transactions when all I want is (example):
Customer 1 made a payment of $1000; Customer 2 a payment of $2500; customer 3 a payment of $500 for a total of $4000 on yesterday for Location 1, etc.

For this report I'm not concerned about what accounts are used or whether the payments have been deposited yet or not.
