Automating billing for 1000s of monthly transactions

We are looking for suggestions on how best to automate our billing processes in Netsuite. We running into problems with large numbers of items to bill each month.  We do a subscription type of service and bill resellers monthly for all the enduser subscriptions.  Each month we take Sales Orders for new subscriptions, create an Invoice and then memorize the Invoice for monthly billing.  Currently we use the just the standard Netsuite processes for this but with tens of thousands of memorized transactions to bill, it's past time to do some automation.  We have also run into a Netsuite limitation
