Help with refunding a balance of a Gift Certificate

Hello all,

In addition to The Watch Prince, I also work for another company that uses NetSuite, and we are testing out the use of Gift Certificates.

I was able to create one (the sale of one), and the recipient came in to purchase some items, and I was able to successfully apply it against a sale order.  The gift certificate properly shows the remaining balance after the application of the certificate.

However, the customer decided he didn't want anything else, so one of our salespeople refunded the remainder in cash.

I have exhaustively looked through NetSuite help, and cannot find anything at all for what I need.
