Amount in Purchase Order does not auto calculate

During creation of a new Purchase order,
entering Quantity does not automatically calculate the amount. It used to.
Now, there is a message sayng "The line total amount is not equa to the item price times the quantity. is this correct?
and we have to manually calculate the total amount by punching the Quantity x Rate on a calculator and typing into Netsuite.
