Custom Balance Sheet filtered by Class or Department

I am trying to create a custom balance sheet, where the information being reported is filtered by class or department. When I create the filter and run the report, the informaiton reported contains all information including the class I wanted filtered out.

Does anyone know how to make this work or if it is possible to filter the information shown on a report by class?
