Landed Cost for Drop Ship

We want to know if it is possible to apply a landed cost to drop ship Purchase orders.  On a regular PO there is the landed cost tab- but on A drop ship PO this tab is missing - the only way we have found to track the cost of shipping is a Expense item - and this does not function properly for margin calculations.  Are We missing something?
