New Item pricing with validity

in Accounting / ERP

Hi,

I have a client you set different sales prices per item on a monthly basis. Is there a way wherein I set the new price per item with validity period then during order entry the system automatically uses the new price for that given period.

I tried using the Promotion code, yes it has the start and end date but it applies it as a discount or markup instead of changing the price of the item directly.

Any ideas please???
