Discount not showing in SUBTOTAL

I have added an inventory item to the line of a SALES ORDER.

SUBTOTAL and TAX show up straight away in the blue box at the top.

I also added a DIscount Item to the line and even though the SUBTOTAL recalculated the discount, the discount amount did not appear in the Blue box and it still shows
Discount as 0.00

Is there something wrong?
