Gift Certificates - Currency

in Accounting / ERP

Quick question.
Are Gift Certificates locked to the currency they're issued in?

We have a customer in the UK, who has bought a Gift Certificate (In GBP), for a relative in Europe - and when they try and use it on a Euro order, it says the Gift Certificate cannot be found.

We've tested it, and it can be found fine on a GBP order.


Any ideas?
