Quarterly Revenue Recognition

Hi all, I'm hoping one (or more!) of you wizards can help me out with this problem we've been having.  My company sells a product akin to a club membership/service subscription, which runs for 365 days (rolling, dependent on purchase date).  We invoice in full at the point of purchase and our customers have the option to pay the full amount up front or in a payment plan, spread out over the next few months.

We are using the Revenue Recognition Module (but not the Project Module which (as I understand it) would allow us to create elegant Custom Rev Rec Templates), and would like to recognize the revenue quarterly.
