Can't change scheduled payments on Web orders

Hi all, I recently attempted to schedule payments for a web store-generated sales order and received the following error message: "You cannot create or modify scheduled payments for orders that originated from the web."

The Source field seems to be hard coded as "web" on these orders and I have been unable to change the field (I tried changing the form to our non-web S.O. form and tried mass updating to write over the field).

It is a rare instance in which we'd need to schedule payments for a web order (we ordinarily grab everything at one time, as a cash sale) but I would like to have the flexibility to do so if possible.
