CyberSource AVS Mismatch

I've seen this odd problem a few times in the last week, and was wondering whether anyone else has seen this, as I can't really find a pattern to it.

A sales rep took a deposit from a customer. The deposit was rejected for AVS mismatch. Customer insisted it was the only address he had, definitely the billing address. When I happened to log in and take a look at the CyberSource gateway, the address on transaction was not the address which was populated in the Payment Method tab on the deposit record. After some digging, it turns out it was actually Cybersource's own address.
