Can you change sales tax to calculate on cost vs. sale price?

We are a flooring store and a quirky law in Alabama is that if we are installing the floor to a permanent structure (i.e. new home), then sales tax is collected on the wholesale COST of the item, not the retail PRICE of the item.

We are currently having to manually calculate sales tax on these orders.

Any suggestions or has anyone run up against this issue?
