Automate Revenue Recognition and Amortization

Does anyone know of a way to script creating the revenue recognition and amortization journals?  For example, I'd love to have a routine that would automatically post the rev rec and amortization journals for future periods every Saturday morning. This would help us reduce manual time posting the entries and forecast out to future periods.
