Commissions: Varicent? Xactly?

We're looking at adding a commissions app, currently considering Varicent and Xactly.  Anyone have any experience with either or other recommendations?

Using the NetSuite commissions module would be nice, but it looks like the functionality is too limited for our needs.  That said, we could certainly meet it with a bunch of customization, but then we'd lose the benefits of native functionality--and the payoff of moving from our current Access database solution wouldn't be so clear.
