Can anyone tell me how the system calculates the cost of an assembly when the cost estimate type is Derived from Member Items? 

Is it possible to write a summary search that mimics the calculation that Netsuite does so that one can verify the results by seeing the cost used for each item? (and link it to the item record)

Based on a prior thread in the UG I have a search that does a summary of the average costs of member items, but often there is not an average cost yet or for other reasons never will be an average cost.  As stated in the help files there is no one right answer for the type of estimated cost that is best used for each inventory item...
