Deleted record audit trail - custom records?

edited Feb 14, 2013 2:20PM in Accounting / ERP 3 comments

Hello,

Anyone know if you can track deleted custom records?  The Audit Trail (Transactions > Management > Audit Trail), which is mentioned in this post, only does transactions.

It looks like we can do it via web services with the getDeleted operation. Anyone done this before?  customRecord is available as a type filter, so looks like it should work, but advice or pointers would be great.

Super special bonus if anyone knows if this operation is available in Boomi, which we're using to synch NetSuite.  Basically, we want records in another app to be deleted following deletion in NetSuite.

Best practice would be to inactivate I think, and maybe initiate a record lock via workflow if the record really must not be edited.  We may go this way, but I'm curious if we can synch the deletions.  We're looking into the Boomi part on our end.  I'll post back with results.

Howdy, Stranger!
