Purchase returns / refunds

We returned some of our stock to the supplier as it was out of condition, and they refunded us the money.

I've done the return, shipped the stock back, and now have credited the order - how on earth do I enter the refund onto the system?

At the moment I have this credit sitting there unapplied..!
