Partner Commission / Residuals

We receive periodic commissions from partner companies.  The person doing this job previously was entering them using "other deposit." Doing it that way, they don't show up in the vendor record. These are small amounts and only happen about once a quarter so I'm looking for something simple. Being fairly new to NetSuite, I'm hoping there's something there that I'm missing.
